Bangladesh is participating in `Japan IT Week 2018', the largest annual business platform for IT professionals, to be held in Tokyo Big Sight today (Wednesday) projecting country's IT investment friendly environment to attract foreign investment.

About 91,000 professional visitors and 1700 exhibitors, covering various sectors of IT ranging from microprocessors to latest applications, are expected to assemble at the 3-day Week, an official release said on Tuesday, reports BSS.

A 45-member team, including an 8-member government delegation headed by Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar will attend the annual event in Japan, said officials of the ICT Division.

Project Director of Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) of ICT Division Md Rezaul Karim who is a member of the government delegation said the minister will hold a series of meeting with the top brass of two Japan ministries, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and big companies of ICT sector.
